Meaningful Results Oriented Learning
We believe
awareness, acceptance and action are the primary ingredients necessary
for adults to learn and change.
More specifically, when exposed to presentation skill training,
participants need an awareness of effective and ineffective behaviors
followed by personal acceptance of those behaviors and a willingness
to take action and recognize the results of improved performance.
We believe people learn best through self discovery
Classroom Goals
Awareness
To create awareness around the components of a persuasive presentation
and the impact of appropriate delivery skills
Balance
To become competent in both content development and delivery techniques.
Improve Effectiveness
To help individuals become aware of both strengths and weaknesses
while providing new techniques that apply to their real world applications.
Tools for Success
To provide a presenter with a set of tools that can be used outside
of the classroom to improve presentation effectiveness.
Classroom Methodology
Highly participative
Videotaping opportunities with built-in delivery skill practices
and stand and deliver opportunities are designed into the workshop.
Participants leave with a videocassette to review for continued
development.
Direct application
Pre-work identifying an upcoming presentation is sent out prior
to the workshop. With that audience in mind, participants directly
apply the concepts and techniques learned in the workshop to that
presentation.
Coaching
Each participant will receive personal coaching from the facilitator,
and their peers.
